Members of the jury are international opinion leaders in the field of dentistry.
The judging process takes place online. Each jury member votes independently of the other jury members. Aiming for maximum objectivity of the judging process, all cases are anonymized.
Dr. Paulo Kano, Brazil - Honorary Chairman of the Jury Board
Dr. Paulo Kano graduated from Faculty of Dentistry of Santo Amaro, Brazil in 1988. From 1982 he is also a certified Dental Technician. He has a Master in Implantology and extensive expertise in restorative and digital dentistry. Dr. Kano is the founder and director of “Paulo Kano Education Center & Private Practice” in São Paulo, Brazil since 1988.
He is an author of the book "Challenging Nature", published by Quintessence Publishing Group, which was translated into 5 languages. He is a collaborator on the famous book "Odontologia Restauradora – Fundamentals and Possibilities" by Prof. Baratieri. He has published various articles in journals like Quintessence of Dental Technology and Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry and lectured in over 62 countries on topics related to aesthetic and digital dentistry.
He is a creator developer of the Clones Techniques and Protocols and creator of SKYN/SKIN Concept and Anatomic Shell Technique (AST). Dr. Kano is Honorary President of Brazilian Society of Digital Dentistry (SBOD), Emeritus Member of Brazilian Society of Aesthetic Dentistry (SBOE). Today he is lecturing internationally on SKYN and Dental Aesthetics and teaching and practicing in his private dental clinic in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Assoc. prof. Dr. Giulio Rasperini, Italy
Associate Professor in Periodontology at the Department of Biomedical, Surgical and Dental Sciences, University of Milan, Italy. Active Member of the Italian Society of Periodontology (SIdP), the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED) and the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry. He has published and lectured extensively in the fields of periodontology and implantology, regenerative medicine, surgical techniques for periodontal and peri-implant reconstruction. Winner of several awards for research focused on periodontology and implantology. In 2017, he founded the iPerio Education Center in Piacenza, Italy, with Dr. Giorgio Pagni and Dr. Raffaele Acunzo, where they teach their philosophy of treatment and concepts of the modern dentistry.
Dr. Mirela Feraru, Romania
Mirela Feraru, D.M.D. graduated in 2005 from the Dental Faculty of the Timisoara University, Romania. An integral part of the Bichacho Clinic team since 2009, focusing on Interdisciplinary Modalities, she has in-depth knowledge and experience in all fields of Perio-Prosthetic Esthetic Dentistry, concentrating on Restorative and Perioplastic surgery treatments. As well as publishing internationally, she pursues her passion for sharing her experience and skills with others by lecturing, teaching and mentoring all over the world on complex Esthetic Restorative Treatments and Interdisciplinary Perio-Prosthetic Concepts and Treatment. In addition, Dr. Feraru has acquired extensive experience in high-quality dental photographic documentation and has been sharing it with colleagues world-wide through lectures and workshops. She has also authored the bestseller book “Dental Visualization”, published by Quintessence Publishing in 2018.
Dr. Walter Devoto, Italy
Born in Chiavari, 29th march 1965, graduated in Dentistry, University of Genoa 1991 first class honours. Visiting Lecturer in Aesthetic Dentistry University of Siena, Italy and Barcelona, Spain. Visiting professor in Aesthetic Dentistry, University of Marseille. Member of the Operative Dentistry since 1996. Active member of The Accademia Italiana di Conservativa since1998. Active member of the European Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry since 2002. Founder member of the Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, Founder of Style Italiano. Specific area of interest: aesthetic and restorative Dentistry,with many articles published in international journals and many presentations on the argument at national and international congress meetings. As well as running his own private surgery in Sestri Levante (GE) and Portofino (GE), he collaborates with prestigious surgeries, specialising in Aesthetic Dentistry through out Europe.
Graduated from the Hebrew University Hadassah School of Dentistry, Dr. Romano is a specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He maintains a private practice in Tel Aviv, Israel, limited to orthodontics, with emphasis on adult and lingual orthodontics. He lectures all over the world on the topics of lingual orthodontics and adult multidisciplinary orthodontic treatment.Active member of the European Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (EAED), the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO), and a board member of the American Lingual Orthodontists Association (ALOA).
Dr. Rafael Romano, Israel
Dr. Gary Glassman, Canada
Dr. Gary Glassman graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 1984 and was awarded the James B. Willmott Scholarship, the Mosby Scholarship and the George Hare Endodontic Scholarship for proficiency in Endodontics. A graduate of the Endodontology Program at Temple University in 1987, he received the Louis I. Grossman Study Club Award for academic and clinical proficiency in Endodontics.
The author of numerous publications, Dr. Glassman lectures globally on endodontics, is on staff at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in the graduate department of endodontics. As Adjunct Professor of Dentistry and Director of Endodontic Programming from 2010-2017, Gary helped develop the dental school curriculum for the Oral Health Science programme for the University of Technology, Kingston, Jamaica.
Gary is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, Fellow of the American College of Dentists, endodontic editor for Oral Health dental journal, endodontic editor for Inside Dentistry, Faculty Chair for DC Institute and Chief Dental Officer for dentalcorp Canada. He maintains a private practice, Endodontic Specialists in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Dr. Raman Aulakh, UK
Dr. Raman Aulakh is a specialist orthodontist working in private practice. Holding a BDS from University of Birmingham, Dr. Raman continued his education at Royal College of Surgeons of England attaining his MFDS (A) and further studying MSc Orthodontics at the Royal College of Aarhus Denmark. Dr. Aulakh also holds a PG Diploma in Clinical Education by the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians Glasgow. Being a registered specialist orthodontist, he is also a member of the Dental Protection Society and the British Orthodontic Society.
Dr. Raman has a comprehensive career as director/founder of safe orthodontics online education, author of several publications, Clinical Instructor and Lecturer at Kings College London, MSc Aesthetic Dentistry and works in private practice as a specialist orthodontist on a daily basis. Dr. Aulakh has published in journals on the topics of aesthetic dentistry, orthodontics, treatment planning and clinical education.
Dr. Roberto Ciarlantini, Italy
Dr. Roberto Ciarlantini graduated in Dentistry at the University of Bologna with full marks and honors in 1989. In 1992 he obtained a master's degree in orthodontics at the Department of Orthodontics of the University of Aarhus, in Denmark, directed by prof. B. Melsen and continued to attend the department for several years. He is a member of SIDO, EOS, SIBOS, AIOL. He has taken part, as a speaker, in numerous congresses both nationally and internationally. Dr. Ciarlantini received in 2006 the prize for the best communication of clinical orthodontics of the congress by the Italian Society of Orthodontics. He was a finalist for the Young Chel Park Award during the WIOC in Sydney in 2012. He was the winner of the Simply Ortho Case Contest in 2018.
He has published clinical articles concerning the resolution of complex orthodontic cases in various international journals and is mentioned for his publications in the American Board of Orthodontics Reading List since 2018. His main fields of orthodontic interest are biomechanics, skeletal anchorage and lingual orthodontics. He has been working in his own dental practice in Recanati since 1991, dedicating himself exclusively to orthodontics.
Dr. David J. Landwehr, USA
Dr. David J. Landwehr earned his D.D.S. at the University of Minnesota. He received an M.S. degree and certificate in oral and maxillofacial pathology at The Ohio State University followed by specialty training in endodontics at the University of Michigan. Dr. Landwehr has been a private practice clinician for more than twenty years.
Dr. Landwehr was the Chief of Endodontics for the Meriter Hospital general practice residency for more than ten years. Dr. Landwehr authored the chapter titled Lesions That Mimic Endodontic Pathosis for the most recent edition of Cohen’s Pathways of the Pulp. His teaching focuses on techniques used daily in his clinical practice that are efficient, predictable and evidence based.
Dr. Beth Ann Damas, USA
Dr. Beth Ann Damas earned her D.D.S. alongside an M.S. in Oral Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Additionally, she received an M.S. in Endodontics from the University of Detroit Mercy. Dr. Damas has been a private practice endodontist for 15 years.
Dr. Damas treats a wide range of patients in her practice and specializes in adolescent care. She is currently the Endodontic Consultant for Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Her teaching focus on modern endodontic approaches to provide patients both young and old with realistic expectations on how to preserve their natural dentition and maintaining their overall oral health.
Dr. Alex Ditmarov, Russia
Dr. Alex Ditmarov is expert in orthodontics. Graduated from the Moscow Medical Academy named after I.M. Sechenov, Faculty of Dentistry. He completed numerous internships in European countries and the USA. Area of scientific and practical interests is orthodontic treatment of children and adults. Dr. Ditmarov has 14 years work experience.
He has publications and mentions in the British Dental Journal, American Journal of Orthodontics, Journal of Clinical Orthodontics and Kevin O'Brien's Orthodontic Blog. In his free time he writes his blog OrthodonticGrammar.com
Prof. Marco Tallarico, Italy
Assistant Professor in Fixed and Removable Prostheseson natural teeth and implants, and Gnathology, University of Sassari, Italy.
Dr. Tallarico graduated with honors at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 2000, he obtained the II Level Master in Oral Surgery in 2003, and the Master of Science in Oral Surgery in 2005 at the same University. He attended an advanced course in Periodontology and Implantology at the University of Florence in the years 2006 and 2007. In 2013 he obtained certification from the European Association of Osseointegration in “Implant-Based Therapy”, the first Italian clinician, together with Prof. Silvio Mario Meloni. In 2014 he was the winner, for the second time, of the Prosthesis Poster Session, Nobel Biocare Symposium, Riccione, and in 2019 he won the Aesculapius Research Prize awarded by the University of Florence. Past lecturer at the Oral Rehabilitation Department of the II University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, directed by Prof. Alberto Barlattani, and at the Oral Surgery Department of the Marche Polytechnic, directed by Prof. Fabrizio Bambini. From 2019 to 2022 he was an adjunctive professor of prostheses, and in February 2022 he won the competition named “RTDB or lecture B” as a University Researcher, at the University of Sassari. Already an Adjunct Professor at Aldent University, Tirana, Albania (Implantology and Prosthetic Aspects, Master of Science in Dentistry Program). President Osstem-AIC (Advanced Dental Implant Research & Education Center), Italy. An active member of the IAO (Italian Academy of Osseointegration), the DDS (Digital Dental Society), the EAO (European Association for Osseointegration), and the AIOM (Italian Academy of Microscopic Dentistry).
Assoc. prof. Dr. Dario Severino, Italy
Dr. Dario Severino, DMD, graduated with honors in 2001 from the Dental faculty of the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He has held his private practice in Rome (Italy) since 2001, mainly focusing on traditional and implant prosthesis, Restorative and Perioplastic surgery treatments. Since 2008 he has been an international lecturer about traditional and implant prosthesis. In 2010 he published the book “MODELLING”, translated in 15 different languages. Since 2023 he has been an Adjunct Professor in Dental Prosthesis at the International Medical University of Rome - UNICAMILLUS.
Ciprian Boca, Romania
Born in a small town in the middle of Transylvania, Ciprian Boca is a passionate filmmaker whose signature appears not only on TV commercials, but also on music videos and corporate short movies. Under the umbrella of his own brand Monkey Media, he has produced – together with his team, music videos for Romanian and international artists, corporate concept videos for companies like Porsche Europe and Daimler. He also directed and produced videos together with representative names from the international dental elite, like Florin Cofar, Paulo Kano, Eric van Dooren, Gustavo and Marcelo Giordani, Edson da Silva, and others. He was the official videographer and photo-video trainer for the SKIN course in Brazil. A successful young international speaker, he presents his artistic vision, photo and video tips and tricks in the Esthetics through the Lens course, in several countries in Europe, USA, Asia and South America.
